We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for maintaining exceptional customer service standards and ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Micros POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and dining spaces. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food and beverage supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and transactions accurately.

Experience

Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing are essential. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is beneficial.
