Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista Cashier

to join our vibrant cafe team. This role combines exceptional customer service with food and beverage preparation, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in coffee and food service, possess strong POS skills, and demonstrate excellent time management. Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items according to company standards. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling. Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process transactions efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including food safety and food handling protocols. Manage cash register operations, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing cash drawers. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Restock supplies and ensure the cafe environment is inviting and well-maintained. Follow health regulations related to serving food and beverages, maintaining a safe environment for staff and customers.

Skills

Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling, and basic food preparation techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods. Basic math skills for sales transactions, retail math, and cash handling accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. Knowledge of serving protocols within a cafe or retail food setting is advantageous.
