We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our cafe. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and food industry experience, with the ability to lead a team effectively. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service, maintaining food safety standards, and managing staff during your shift.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the cafe, ensuring high-quality customer service. Train and mentor staff on service standards, food safety, and proper handling techniques. Manage cash handling procedures, including accurate cashiering and basic math calculations. Oversee food preparation processes while adhering to health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe environment. Utilize Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and sales tracking. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that arise during the shift. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Skills

Proficient in Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks during busy shifts. Excellent sales abilities with a focus on enhancing customer experiences. Previous barista or coffee experience is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and food handling practices. Familiarity with retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management. Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing cash flow. Exceptional customer service skills to foster positive relationships with patrons. Experience in food preparation and serving within the food industry. Pay: $16.10-$18.64 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Schedule:

10 hour shift 12 hour shift 8 hour shift Evening shift Monday to Friday Morning shift On call Overtime Weekends as needed
