Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista/Receptionist to join our team at Joe & Co. and Lola Lash Bar. The Joe & Co. cafe is located inside the Lola Lash Bar Marda Loop location and offers a patio space. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and matcha and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Your role will involve utilizing POS systems, managing orders efficiently, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve coffee, matcha, iced lattes, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area and salon Adhere to food safety guidelines during food preparation and handling Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while following proper cashiering procedures

Requirements

Previous barista or coffee experience preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive experience for guests Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Knowledge of food safety practices in the food industry Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Work Schedule

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 3:15pm-8:15pm

Friday 1:15pm-6:15pm

Saturday 9:45am-6:15pm
