Responsibilities and Tasks

To advise clients on beauty care treatments

To analyze hair and scalp condition

To book appointments

To cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences

To provide custom hair and scalp treatment

To shampoo customers' hair

To shave and trim beards and mustaches

To provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages

To supervise other hair stylists and other staff

To apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair

To cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair

To suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences

To perform receptionist duties

To maintain and order supplies

To experience and specialization -

Hair styling techniques

Blow drying

Iron waving/curling

Permanents

Extensions

Hair colouring techniques -

Dyes/tints

Streaking/highlights
