The Role:

Join the team at Black's Pub, one of Whistler's most iconic apres and dining spots. As a Barback, you'll play a key behind-the-scenes role in keeping our bar running smoothly. From stocking and prepping to supporting bartenders and maintaining a clean, organized bar environment, you'll help ensure every guest enjoys top-notch service. Responsibilities:

Stock and restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and bar tools throughout service Assist bartenders by prepping ingredients, garnishes, and bar setup before and during service Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and backbar areas, including spills, trash, and recycling Run food and clear dishes as needed in collaboration with the front-of-house team Support glassware rotation: collecting, washing, polishing, and restocking Assist in receiving and organizing bar deliveries and inventory Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including food and alcohol handling procedures Respond quickly to bartender requests and anticipate needs during peak service times Help close down and reset the bar at the end of service, including deep cleaning and restocking

Requirements:

Previous barback or hospitality experience in a high-volume environment preferred Passion for cocktails, hospitality, and teamwork Strong work ethic, stamina, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and be on your feet for long shifts Excellent communication and time management skills Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays Must meet legal age requirements to work around alcohol
