The Bar Manager oversees all bar/restaurant operations across the clubhouse, events, offsite functions, and beer cart service. This role is responsible for staff leadership, scheduling, inventory control, ordering, training, guest satisfaction, and ensuring efficient, high-quality beverage service throughout the golf season.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling & Operations
Create and manage schedules for restaurant staff across the events, restaurant, offsite functions, and beverage cart operations
Oversee daily bar/restaurant operations, including opening, service, and closing procedures
Bartend as needed, develop and maintain the cocktail list
Create weekly cocktail specials aligned with seasonal menus and events
Collect payments from customers and ensure accurate cash handling
POS & Systems
Operate and oversee the POS system
Train staff on proper POS usage, cash handling, and payment procedures
Ordering & Inventory Management
Manage and submit all bar inventory orders
Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts
Receive deliveries, properly put inventory away, and maintain organized storage areas
Staff Leadership & Training
Conduct staff orientation for new hires
Oversee continual staff training in steps of service, beverage knowledge, and performance standards
Evaluate employee performance and provide coaching and feedback as necessary
Cleanliness, Compliance & Standards
Ensure all cleaning duties and shift responsibilities are completed to standard
Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and health and safety compliance
Guest Experience & Issue Resolution
Investigate and respond to customer complaints in a professional and timely manner
Ensure a consistently positive experience for golfers, members, event guests, and visitors
Qualifications:
Previous restaurant, bar or beverage management experience (golf course or high-volume hospitality preferred)
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
Solid knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits
Experience with POS systems and inventory management
Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, weekends, tournaments, and events
Smart Serve Certificate

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
