About the Role:



Fitzrovia is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the evening program at our in-house Cafe Bar, No. 10 Dean, located at the base of our Elm-Ledbury residential tower. No. 10 Dean transforms from a specialty coffee bar during the day into a vibrant cocktail bar at night, offering high-quality wine, beer, cocktails, and shareable snacks to residents and guests.

The Bar Manager will report to the Regional Manager, 10 Dean, and work closely with the Cafe Manager to ensure seamless coordination across all day-to-night operations. Together, they will support the Lead Cook and ensure the food program complements and enhances both beverage offerings.

This role is ideal for a hospitality leader with a passion for cocktail culture, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for guest experience and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead the Night Program:

Oversee and elevate the evening bar experience at 10 DEAN, ensuring exceptional execution of our cocktail, wine, and beer offerings in a warm, service-forward environment.

FOH Service & Atmosphere Leadership:

Lead the front-of-house evening service with a focus on high-quality table service. Coach and support servers to deliver polished, engaging, and knowledgeable hospitality, including upselling techniques, product education, and creating a welcoming, energetic atmosphere aligned with our brand.

Team Leadership:

Manage, train, and schedule both bartenders and evening servers. Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and collaboration, with ongoing coaching and performance development.

Menu Innovation:

Develop and refresh cocktail menus regularly, including seasonal updates and creative specials. Contribute to cocktail development for other 10 DEAN kiosks with a focus on high-quality, executable offerings tailored to their unique spatial and operational constraints.

Cross-Program Alignment:

Collaborate with the Cafe Manager and Lead Cook to ensure smooth transitions between day and night programming, including efficient handovers, menu synergy, and consistent guest experience.

Guest Experience:

Model warm, elevated service at all times. Act as a host and floor leader during evening service, resolving issues promptly and professionally, and ensuring all guests feel welcome and attended to.

Inventory & Cost Control:

Oversee inventory levels, order supplies, manage recipe and portion costs, and complete accurate monthly stock counts.

Supplier & Product Management:

Maintain strong relationships with vendors, identify new opportunities, and drive ongoing quality and cost improvements across the beverage program.

Financial Oversight:

Ensure proper cash handling, adherence to daily financial procedures, and support accurate POS use, closeouts, and reconciliations.

Events & Engagement:

Lead planning and execution of resident, public, and private events. Develop custom beverage menus and ensure high-quality service and brand-aligned delivery.

Strategic Initiatives:

Support broader hospitality initiatives such as retail programs (e.g. cocktail kits), batched cocktails for amenity dispensers, and other experiential offerings.

Staffing Coverage:

Ensure the bar and FOH are adequately staffed during all hours of operation. Step in when necessary to maintain service continuity.

Compliance & Cleanliness:

Uphold compliance with liquor regulations and health and safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and service-ready bar and FOH area at all times.

Qualifications and Experiences:



2-3 years of bartending/mixology experience, with 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role in a high-volume bar or restaurant setting Deep knowledge of spirits, cocktail techniques, and current beverage trends, with the ability to create visually compelling and well-balanced drinks Working knowledge of food, wine, beer, and coffee; experience preparing specialty coffee beverages is an asset Hospitality-driven with excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities Skilled at motivating and managing a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Self-motivated, curious, and results-driven, with keen attention to detail Able to multitask effectively while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Smart Serve Certification (required); Food Handlers' Certification (required) Diploma or certificate in hospitality or event management is considered an asset
