Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support bartenders by ensuring the bar is well-stocked, organized, and clean, while providing excellent customer service to enhance the guest experience. This role is essential in maintaining a smooth operation during busy service periods and requires a passion for hospitality and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks to customers efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces. Stock and replenish bar supplies such as liquor, mixers, garnishes, and ice as needed. Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, including Micros POS. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Support food preparation tasks as required, including meal preparation and cooking when necessary. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and responding to their needs promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders to the bar area. Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred, particularly in restaurant or hotel settings. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members. Knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures is essential. Experience with cash handling and familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A background in kitchen experience or meal preparation is a plus. Must demonstrate excellent cleaning habits and a commitment to maintaining a tidy workspace. A passion for guest services and providing an outstanding customer experience is crucial.
