Job Description

SUMMARY: The banquet server sets up assigned meeting rooms as well as serves a combination of banquet menu items and restaurant menu items according to hotel specifications and group requirements, courteously and efficiently and prepares the food and beverage stations between services and maintains the cleanliness and organization of the department. The banquet server is an integrated role of banquet porting and banquet bartending. RESPONSIBILITIES: \xc2\xb7 Prepare all food in the kitchen as required by standards. \xc2\xb7 Assess the meeting room prior to the meeting start time indicated. \xc2\xb7 Maintain cleanliness of the work areas and equipment according to Hotel Standards. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that all amenities, food and beverages are always available to guests, according to standards. \xc2\xb7 Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment only as intended. \xc2\xb7 Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies and service procedures. \xc2\xb7 Check cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies. \xc2\xb7 Greet guests as they arrive and assist them with seating when necessary. \xc2\xb7 Anticipate guests\' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. \xc2\xb7 Maintain positive guest relations at all times. \xc2\xb7 Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. \xc2\xb7 Handle guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction. \xc2\xb7 Clean up the meeting room during service hours and reset F&B stations between services to accommodate incoming services. \xc2\xb7 Clean up the food and beverage areas once the meetings are over: vacuum the carpets, spot clean walls, wipe off equipment\xe2\x80\x99s, and dust all area of the rooms. \xc2\xb7 All storage areas and meeting rooms must be clean and in orderly fashion. \xc2\xb7 Re-stock as needed. \xc2\xb7 Clean the service hallway area before end of shift. \xc2\xb7 Other duties as required. \xc2\xb7 Stewarding dishes to the correct areas for cleansing and storing. \xc2\xb7 Collecting all information regarding services request by clientele and informing supervisor or manager. Qualifications \xc2\xb7 Physically able to transport food and beverage trays weighing up to 65 pounds. \xc2\xb7 Physically able to transport all equipment, including tables and chairs. \xc2\xb7 Endure profuse physical movements throughout the work areas. \xc2\xb7 Basic mathematic skills. \xc2\xb7 Organization, efficiency and time management skills a must. \xc2\xb7 Perform job functions with minimal supervision. \xc2\xb7 Good communications skills \xc2\xb7 Adaptable to changes of workflow or requirements. \xc2\xb7 Minimum of 19 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages. \xc2\xb7 Serving it Right Certified required for bartending and ticket selling. \xc2\xb7 WMIS is required. \xc2\xb7 Reliable Transportation Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
