We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, with experience in banquet cooking and a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen management. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes for various events while ensuring exceptional service standards are met. The Banquet Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to create memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets and catered events, ensuring quality and presentation meet fine dining standards.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to plan menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences.
Supervise kitchen staff during events, providing guidance on food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Assist in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food handling procedures, and safety protocols.
Participate in shift management by coordinating tasks among team members to ensure efficient service during peak times.
Contribute to menu planning by suggesting seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes that enhance our offerings.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Banquet Cook or similar role within the food industry, preferably in a fine dining or catering environment.
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing team dynamics effectively.
Familiarity with inventory management practices and food production processes.
Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
Previous experience in restaurant management or food service management is highly desirable.
