Position Overview:

The RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg is looking for courteous and professional candidates to join the bartending team for the holiday season. The Centre's Banquet Bartenders provide consistently high levels of service to all banquet guests ensuring an exceptional event experience.

Primary Functions and Responsibilities:

Maintain proper and adequate set-up and tear down of the bars - including stocking of all products Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner Acknowledge and respond promptly to all guest requests; communicating any special instructions to the Beverage Supervisor Mix drinks using standard ingredient recipes Communicate and support colleagues to ensure a smooth event Occasionally work with a cash float to maintain and reconcile at end of event Direct guests to necessary services and features After event, removes inventory and all beverage equipment, returning to proper storage Observe all sanitation, safety, and quality guidelines

Qualifications and Requirements:

Must be able to work varied shifts, including late nights, weekends, and holidays MUST have a valid Manitoba Smart Choices certification Previous experience in a fast-paced environment serving large crowds and various groups Able to maintain a calm manner during busy periods while serving guests quickly and efficiently Ability to meet the physical demands of the job; standing for extended periods of time, lifting/carrying trays of glassware and pushing/pulling heavy carts in a safe manner A positive and friendly manner. Good interpersonal, communication, and guest service skills Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions Applicant must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Proof of work or student permit will be required upon hire
