Dedicated to creating experiences that amaze both our guests and team members, Stanley's Bar & Grill at the Stanley Park Pavilion is looking for a hands-on, energetic bartender to join our team. As a Banquet Bartender, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. You'll be responsible for crafting high-quality cocktails quickly and consistently, engaging with guests, and keeping the bar running smoothly during events. The ideal candidate is skilled in mixology, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a strong knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain glassware and cutlery Keep bar storage areas organized and stocked with supplies Maintain clean and tidy workstations including floors, counters, etc. Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment Work quickly and efficiently in very high paced events and weddings Recommend drinks based on customer preferences and food pairings Process transactions, handle cash, and ensure accurate billing Follow responsible alcohol service laws. Follow all HAACP and Food Safe requirements Follow all procedures outlined in the Team Member Handbook Be knowledgeable and promote the Capilano Group of Companies. Promote a safe work environment paying particular attention to food and drink safety Take reasonable care to protect your own, co-workers and Guest's health and safety Be alert to hazards and immediately report hazards, defective equipment or concerns to your supervisor. Ensure your ability to work without risk to your health and safety or any other person's safety is not impaired by alcohol, drugs or other causes

Qualifications:

One (1) year of bartending experience Must have current Serving It Right certificate Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task Ability to manage challenging or high-stress scenarios effectively POS knowledge an asset Positive attitude and a strong desire to provide experiences Guests are amazed by Strong communication skills Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, climb a step ladder or climb a step stool

Wage for this position is $20.00 per hour plus gratuities.
