Established in 2003 by the Public Service Act, the BC Public Service Agency provides professional and reliable human resource leadership, expertise, services and programs to the entire BC Public Service contributing to better business performance in ministries and government as a whole. As part of the Public Service Engagement and Corporate Initiatives branch, the Communications Strategist is responsible for creating effective, relevant and engaging content to inform, inspire and connect employees across the BC Public Service.


Job Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Communications or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and professional experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in communications.
  • Minimum one of year experience with online content management systems (e.g. Wordpress). Preference may be given to candidates with more than one year.
  • Preference may be given to applicants who have experience with corporate or internal communications in large, complex organizations.


Provisos /Willingness statement:
  • Occasional travel may be required within B.C.

About this Position:

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement. An eligibility list may be established for future permanent and temporary opportunities.
This position is excluded from union membership.
