The Toronto Blue Jays Ballpark Setup Operations Department is looking for enthusiastic people to join our Ballpark Setup Operations team and fill positions as Ballpark Setup Attendant. Reporting to the Coordinator of Ballpark Setup Operations, a Ballpark Setup Operations Attendant, will be crucial in preparing event spaces to ensure a seamless and visually appealing environment for guests. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and working collaboratively with the events team. Your responsibilities will include setting up furniture, arranging decorations, and supporting the overall preparation of event spaces.
Please note that these are seasonal roles aligned with the baseball and Rogers Centre events schedule, spanning from approximately
February to November 2026

Responsibilities:
General labor such as; set up tables, chairs, and other furniture following event layouts and specifications. Place linens, tableware, and other essential items to create a polished and inviting atmosphere.
Assist in the decoration of event spaces based on provided guidelines, themes, or client preferences.
Ensure that decorations are securely and safely installed, paying attention to aesthetic details.
Work collaboratively with other departments, including, Coordinators, Managers, and concert promoters, to execute event setups efficiently.
Follow instructions and maintain open communication with team members.
Assist in setting up basic audiovisual equipment, such as speakers and microphones, according to the event's technical requirements.
Report any issues with equipment to the Ballpark Setup Operations Coordinator.
Conduct visual inspections to ensure that all elements of the setup meet quality standards.
Rectify any discrepancies or issues promptly to uphold the overall event experience.
Assist in the installation of event signage, banners, and branding materials in designated areas.
Ensure that all branding elements align with the team, Concert, or client's specifications and event theme.
Collaborate with external vendors, such as rental companies, to assist in the delivery and setup of their respective elements.
Provide support to vendors as needed.
Assist in the efficient breakdown of the event space after the conclusion of each event.
Safely pack and store equipment, furniture, and decorations for future use.
Support cleaning staff in restoring the venue to its original condition.
Distribution, setup, and removal of stanchions, pipe and drapes, turnstiles, and barricades for various events
Cleaning and maintenance of equipment listed above
Loading and unloading of various equipment and supplies
Cleaning of workshops and storage areas
Participation in ongoing department projects as assigned
Maintain strong, cooperative inter-department relationships
Qualifications:
Must be able to work all 81 home games (evenings, weekends, and holidays) and other Rogers Centre concerts/events as required.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent is a plus but not required
Excellent work ethic and objectivity
Energetic and motivated
Self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, team environment
A valid driver's license is considered an asset
Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality event setups.
Ability to stand for long periods; bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push; pull, and carry items
Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool
A team player who will establish and maintain strong relationships with internal staff to reach desired results
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to multi-task and meet required deadlines
Previous experience in event setup or a related field is a plus but not required.
