Part-Time Baking Instructor - Duchess Atelier

About Duchess Atelier

At Duchess Atelier, we provide home bakers with the skills and confidence to create high-quality baked goods in their own kitchens. Our classes offer a behind-the-scenes look at the techniques, ingredients, and attention to detail that define Duchess Bake Shop. Duchess Atelier instructors come from a variety of backgrounds. Whether professionally trained or self-taught, our instructors share a deep love for baking and a commitment to education.

Responsibilities

Lead hands-on baking classes for up to 20 students, following class outlines and recipes

Demonstrate techniques clearly and effectively, ensuring students feel comfortable replicating them

Answer student questions and provide guidance throughout the class

Prepare large batches of doughs, fillings, and other components as needed

Set up and organize ingredients and equipment before class

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation

Assist with classroom clean-up after each session

Requirements

A diploma or accreditation in baking, pastry and/or culinary from a recognized post secondary institution.

Experience working in a professional baking or pastry kitchen

Strong communication skills and ability to engage with groups

Comfortable demonstrating and speaking in front of an audience

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

A collaborative and positive attitude

Ability to lift and carry up to 44 lbs

Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)

Must be available evenings and weekends
