Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance about bakery products Prepare and replenish bakery items, ensuring freshness and presentation standards are met Operate POS systems, sales, and cash handling Upsell bakery products to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery counter area in compliance with food safety regulations Assist with food handling, packaging, and serving to ensure quality and safety standards are upheld Support food preparation tasks like slicing bread, filling display cases, and restocking shelves Manage cash register operations accurately while handling transactions efficiently Support bussing duties by clearing tables or cleaning workspaces as needed in the cafe or retail environment

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service, retail grocery store, cafe, or quick service restaurant preferred Familiarity with POS systems Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting Experience with food preparation, baking, or culinary activities is a plus but not required Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as needed

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
