Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for baking Pita Bread and Hot Dog buns, providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced food industry setting, ensuring customers have a positive experience while enjoying fresh baked goods. Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in this role.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting bakery products Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for processing transactions accurately Handle cash and credit card payments with proper cash handling procedures Prepare and package baked goods according to quality standards and safety guidelines Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, adhering to food safety regulations Restock shelves with fresh products and organize displays for visual appeal Upsell bakery items to enhance customer experience and increase sales Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including slicing and packaging products Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety standards

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or the food industry is preferred, especially in bakery or restaurant settings Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for all necessary skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.85-$23.25 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
