Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers have a delightful shopping experience, showcasing your knowledge of our products and promoting sales through effective upselling techniques.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in selecting bakery items. Prepare and package baked goods while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and restocking items as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the bakery department. Able to put away large stock orders

Skills

Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Experience in food preparation and handling, preferably within the food industry or restaurant environment. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
