Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or the food industry, with a strong focus on food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities

Assist customers with their bakery selections, answer questions, and provide product recommendations. Prepare baked goods and other food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate POS systems Handle cash and perform cashiering duties with attention to cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, adhering to food safety standards. Restock shelves, display cases, and ensure products are properly labeled and organized. Upsell bakery items to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Follow all food handling protocols to ensure safety and quality of products served.

Skills

Experience in food preparation, food service, or the food industry is preferred. Proficiency with POS systems Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours. Ability to perform food handling duties safely and efficiently. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with serving and food safety protocols. Upselling skills to promote bakery items effectively while maintaining excellent customer relations. Pay: $16.50-$18.00 per hour
