Our Timberlands Food Store in Red Deer is looking for a full-time Bakery Clerk to join our team.

Full-time: 40 hours/week. Benefits Eligible after 3 months.

This position provides benefits; if you are coming from out of province, please remember you need to have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability requirements: Weekdays and weekends - mornings (5:00 am start), afternoons and evenings (up to 10:00 pm)

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service,
• Package and label products for purchase,
• Slicing bread,
• Frying donuts, using ovens, and assisting bakers with production,
• Stocking shelves, freezer product pulls,
• Setting up product for following day,
• Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment,
• Follow proper health & safety procedures,
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills,
• Excellent organizational skills,
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment,
• Ability to work independently and in a team,
• Some heavy lifting is required (up to 50 lbs.),
• Prior bakery knowledge is an asset; training available,
• Must be over the age of 14 (Employment Standards requires a permit to employ a person age 14 or under; therefore, disclosure is required).
