Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced food industry setting, ensuring customers enjoy fresh baked goods and a welcoming shopping experience.
Duties
Assist customers with selecting baked goods and answer product-related questions. Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for accurate cashiering and cash handling. Prepare and package bakery items according to safety and quality standards. Restock shelves and display cases to ensure product availability. Maintain sanitation and cleanliness in the bakery area, adhering to food safety regulations. Upsell bakery products to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service. Follow proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols at all times. Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and rotating stock.
Experience
Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail is preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
