We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our team. Duties

Assist in food preparation, including baking, assembling, and packaging bakery items Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for customer transactions Handle cash and process payments accurately while providing excellent customer service Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bakery area Restock display cases and ensure products are attractively presented Engage with customers to answer questions, upsell products, and enhance their shopping experience Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times Support team members with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth bakery operations

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred Knowledge of POS systems Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices Kitchen or food preparation experience is advantageous Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or products Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$23.15 per hour
