As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our bakery operations, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety while providing excellent customer service.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and baking of various baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes. Package finished products for sale, ensuring they are presented attractively and meet food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety protocols. Support cake decorating efforts by preparing ingredients and assisting with decoration tasks as needed. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions about products, and assisting with purchases. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely production of baked goods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.

Requirements

Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is required. Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Willingness to learn new baking techniques and recipes. Experience in cooking or baking is a plus, especially cake decorating skills. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
