Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and creative individual to join our team. This role involves preparing and decorating a variety of baked goods, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, experience in food handling, and a strong commitment to delivering quality products with excellent customer service and the ability to handle store front management.

Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other confections. Decorate cakes and desserts with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal aligns with customer expectations. Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, assembling, and packaging products. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area and store overall in compliance with food safety standards. Handle food products safely, adhering to proper food handling procedures. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product selections, answering questions, handling payments, managing inventory of products/items, and any other related tasks. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during food preparation. Manage packaging of baked goods for retail display or take-out orders.

Qualifications

Prior experience in cake decorating or bakery operations is highly preferred but not mandatory. Restaurant or food industry experience is a plus. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques. Skills in food preparation, baking, and cooking techniques. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers. Kitchen experience including use of baking tools and equipment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Highly motivated, flexible, can easily adapt to environment and learn at a quick pace. Strong work ethic with the ability to perform repetitive tasks responsibly. Exceptional prioritizing and time management skills; reliable/organized. Passion for baking and creating visually appealing desserts.
