About Us
We are a community-focused, farm-to-plate cafe and shop connected to a 10-acre regenerative farm. As a social purpose co-operative, we believe in "being well by eating well" and operate with heart, passion, and purpose. Our kitchen and cafe serve wholesome, nourishing food made with fresh ingredients grown on our Thetis Island organic farm or sourced locally.

What You'll Do
Cook a variety of sweet and savoury food using fresh, seasonal farm ingredients
Prepare daily menu items and baked goods to a high standard
Preserve the harvest (soups, sauces, dressings, dips, ferments, etc.)
Keep the kitchen clean and organized
Support a zero-waste, whole-foods approach by finding innovative ways to use seasonal farm ingredients
Adapt to seasonal menu changes
Collaborate with our small team and bring forward new ideas
Plan for and prep items for the following day as needed
What We're Looking For
Confident, creative cook and baker with a passion for whole, nourishing food that tastes good! We are happy to train you in our systems but experience cooking a variety of foods is a requirement for this role.
Experience with gluten-free and plant-based food is a plus.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently without supervision
High attention to detail and cleanliness
Team player with excellent communication and a positive, can-do attitude
Able to stay focused in a small, fast-paced kitchen
Values sustainability, integrity, and community nourishment. Some interest in farming and where food comes from is a must!
Has Food Safe Level 2 and is legally authorized to work in Canada
Local to Chemainus or able to reliably commute
Can pass a background check
