Hello! We are Nostalgia Games Cafe, a board game cafe in Burlington and we are currently recruiting people to join our team!

As a Baker/Barista you will support the baking operations of our cafe, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality baked goods and provide customers with great service and barista drinks.

Assist in the preparation and baking of various bakery items, including cupcakes, cookies, and more. Prepare finished products for display and sale, ensuring they are presented attractively. Prepare drinks in accordance to company recipes and quality standards in a timely manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and baking areas to adhere to food safety regulations. Prepare ingredients for food menu items. Support cake decorating efforts by applying basic techniques as needed. Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and quality. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any questions they may have about our products. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in the food industry or a kitchen environment. Knowledge of food safety and handling practices is essential to maintain a safe working environment. Familiarity with baking techniques and cake decorating is a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented setting. A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn more about the baking process will be highly valued. Willing to grow with the business and contribute ideas and improvements to processes.
