Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Baker Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the daily operations of our baker, assisting with food preparation, baking, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of various baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes. Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency in product quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace, adhering to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any questions they may have. Package baked goods for display and sale while ensuring proper labeling and freshness. Support cake decorating efforts as needed, showcasing creativity and attention to detail. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a baker or food preparation environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers. Basic baking skills or willingness to learn baking techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for the food industry and a desire to grow within the culinary field. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
