Key Responsibilities:
Baking
- Develop, prepare, and present high-quality French baked goods, including croissants, eclairs, tarts, macarons, and other signature items.
Recipe Development
- Innovate and refine recipes while maintaining the authenticity of classic French pastries.
Quality Control
- Ensure consistency in texture, taste, and presentation of all baked goods.
Kitchen Operations
- Manage baking schedules, monitor inventory, and oversee ingredient procurement to maintain freshness and efficiency.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Head Chef and cafe team to develop seasonal pastry offerings and ensure smooth service.
Customer Experience
- Engage with cafe management to understand customer preferences and introduce new pastry selections accordingly.
Requirements:
Proven Experience
- Minimum of
3+ years
as a baker, specializing in French baking.
Creativity & Passion
- A deep love for baking and a desire to create visually stunning and delicious baked goods.
Attention to Detail
- Precision in measurements, techniques, and presentation.
Organizational Skills
- Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple orders in a fast-paced environment.
Language Skills
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is
preferred
