COBS Bread Ancaster is currently looking for people who want to pursue a career in baking. If you enjoy a fun and fast-paced environment, this would be the right fit for you!

We provide a very well-structured 4-6 week industry-leading training program. You will learn all aspects of scratch baking. COBS Bread bakers are very well sought after in the industry. We are growing fast. There are good opportunities to grow with the company. Our bread and treats are baked fresh daily without added preservatives. We donate all of our end-of-day baked goods to community charities. We provide benefits upon successful completion of the 3-month probationary period. Compensation will be commensurate to experience.

As a Baker at COBS Bread, you will:

Work with other Bakers and the Production Manager to ensure the bread quality and range are to COBS Bread standards and delivered on time to exceed customer expectations. Maintain the safety of staff and customers by upholding the COBS Bread brand and standards. Be assigned an initial designated area of responsibility (Bowl, Bench, or Ovens) and will cross-functionally train and learn all areas. Assist with stock rotation. Provide delightful customer service. Demonstrate teamwork and foster good working relationships within the entire team.

Responsibilities

Candidates with previous experience in baking are preferred, but not required. Candidates must have their own transportation Baking starts at 3:00 AM. Baking may start early based on needs and holidays. Candidates must be able to lift 25kg. Valid Food Safety Course and/or First Aid Training Certificate is valued but not required
