About the role:


The Bail Verification and Supervision Program is responsible for expediting bail and court proceedings; reducing failures to appear through supervision of clients and assisting clients to initiate steps to remedy issues and problems that may have contributed to the alleged misconduct. You will be responsible for interviewing clients to assess their eligibility for Bail Supervision, supervising a caseload of clients, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Bail Program. You will also be responsible for tracking and submitting your stats each quarter to the Coordinator of Bail Verification and Supervision Program.

As the successful candidate, you have:

Updated clear Criminal Reference Check required for working with the vulnerable sector. Experience working with vulnerable clients in the criminal justice system or relevant work experience. Strong Organizational and written communication skills Strong interviewing skills Practical knowledge of the Bail Process in Canada. The ability to work independently and as a team. The skills required to work with a variety of community partners including but not limited to the Local Police Agencies, The Crown's office, Defense Counsel, Probation, CMHA, Etc. Bilingualism would be considered as an asset but is not a requirement
