Bagging and Support Operators

at our hemp and cannabis extracts facility in Saskatoon. The Bagging and Support Operator is an entry-level position that supports the manufacturing team, helping build and maintain a culture of continuous improvement of processes, safety, and productivity.

The Bagging and Support Operator facilitates regular intake of biomass to our hemp and cannabis extracts processes. They handle and prepare biomass for extraction, from receiving, to bagging, and other preparatory tasks. They also stage other materials needed for the extraction process. Along with other members of our operations team, they are responsible for the regular cleaning and upkeep of the facility.

This is a full time, permanent position, 40 hours a week. Our preference is that you work a rotating shift (7am-3pm for two weeks, then 3pm-11pm for two weeks), however please give your availability when you apply.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare cannabis and hemp biomass for extraction through manual bagging, and through use of tampers, presses, small-scale hoppers, and other assigned equipment. Keep accurate production records according to required forms and procedures, to ensure cannabis production records can be reconciled against inventory and meet regulatory requirements. Work closely with Operators and Lead Operators to support continuous hemp and cannabis extraction. Cover for basic Extraction Operator tasks as trained and needed when operators are not available. Shipping, receiving, storage, and staging of pallets and drums of materials in a tight space. Cleaning, packaging, and other duties as required to support the operations team. Storing supplies, equipment, and disposal of waste according to Health Canada guidelines. Maintain the highest level of cleanliness/sanitation of equipment and facility. Maintain strict inventory records of all raw materials, chemicals, and equipment used in the facility. Optimize daily tasks and bring forward suggestions for improvement to increase job and process efficiency, safety, and reliability. Cross-train on extraction, solvent recovery, distillation, and isolation processes to cover for Extraction Operators as needed.

Required Skills, Training & Experience



Reasonable physical fitness such that you can stand and/or walk for significant periods of a shift, and lift or manipulate processing screens, bulk bags of product up to 50 lbs, and/or attend to the physical maintenance of certain equipment. Experience with food or cannabis processing is considered an asset. Ability to read, understand, and interpret SOP's related to food or cannabis industry. Pallet picker or forklift experience in tight spaces is an asset. Ability to perform a series of repetitive operations requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity. Must have sufficient range of motion with arms and hands to reach overhead and to the side, often repetitively during shift. Acceptable results to a Criminal Record Check

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
