Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Baggage Handler to join our team. As a Baggage Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of baggage, as well as marshalling aircraft.

Hours will be from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, with the opportunity for growth in the future for the right candidate. End of shift time may vary based off flight delays.

Responsibilities

- Safely load and unload baggage from aircraft
- Transfer luggage between terminals and aircraft
- Ensure accurate routing of baggage to the correct destination
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while handling baggage
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in baggage handling areas

- Operate deice equipment and successfully deice aircraft in the winter.

Requirements

- Proficient in English to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors
- Mechanical experience is an asset
- Demonstrated leadership skills for supervising tasks efficiently
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues
- Capable of heavy lifting to handle luggage safely

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

- Ability to work weekends as well as holidays

- Able to pass a criminal record check

- Valid class 5 license with reliable transportation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
