The Team

The Experiences Feature Services team owns and builds out all parts of the backend that powers our client facing applications. We are spearheading our transition to service-oriented architecture, and we are making sure that we have the tools to do it right and efficiently.

This team is responsible for building out ambitious high performance feature services (Recommendations, Alerts, Notifications, Troubleshooting) that allow us to help our clients achieve their goals by delivering the right data and information to them at the right time. Data and performance are the root of The Trade Desk\xe2\x80\x99s success; therefore, this team is not only building out the product features but is also responsible for scaling up these services for our long-term success.

What you will do:

  • Help build out highly scalable and performant end-user services that will power our UI and API platforms
  • Own your projects end-to-end. You will participate actively in all aspects of designing, building, and delivering products
  • Work with product managers to understand the business needs and help refine the approach that we take
Desired Skills and Capabilities:

We are looking for engineers with the following skill sets, experience, and passions. You do not have to meet all the requirements below, but we believe that people who meet most of them will have a higher likelihood of succeeding in this role
  • Ability to partner with cross-team stakeholders
  • Experience with architectural patterns of large, high-scale data applications
  • Understanding of distributed systems, data stores, data modeling, indexing and associated trade-offs
  • Experience in architecture and development of scalable production quality backend systems
  • Passion for learning and experimenting with innovative approaches to solving large scale problems
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA)
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team which touches many parts of core systems
  • Solid understanding of C# and .NET Core is big plus
