Promark Electronics specializes in the custom manufacturing of cable assemblies and wire harnesses, since 1987. Servicing customers in a wide variety of industries including Industrial equipment, medical technology, aerospace, defense and communications applications across North America.Job Title: Back End DeveloperReporting to: Director of Applied Innovation & TechnologyRole Definition: The back-end developer is responsible for developing and maintaining internal applications that support our customer service, finance, and operations teams. We write code primarily in Python, Flask and SQL, but we routinely interface with systems written in JavaScript, PHP, or other languages as well.Responsibilities- Learn and stay up to date on all business processes through close collaboration with different business departments.- Design the integration solutions and implement them using Python and REST API's.- Maintain and augment existing Back End system.- Observe manufacturing processes to find opportunities for improvement through automation.- Work with a team of engineers to develop a robot system.- Work with a team to develop computer vision system to interface with the robot system.- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to enable higher productivity.- Any other task necessary to advance Applied Innovation initiatives of the company.Qualifications: - Experience with python3 and popular python frameworks (NumPy, requests, Flask, Socket IO).- Experience with PHP and JavaScript is a plus.- A degree in Computer Science or related fields.- Demonstrated creativity in problem solving.- Demonstrated passion for applied research and desire to put innovation in action.- Experience in Project deployment.- Excellent communication skills- Proficiency in public speaking and presentations.- Knowledge of SQL and common database system (MSSQL, Redis).- Comfortable working on On-Premises Ubuntu Linux Systems.- DevOps (CI/CD, Automation) knowledge is a good asset.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From $1.00 per yearSchedule:
