Key Duties & Responsibilities
Supervise and support the back-of-house team to ensure all kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to ensure menu items are prepared to the highest quality, following recipes and standards.
Ensure that food preparation meets the company's strict health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen at all times.
Lead and mentor kitchen staff, assisting in training and providing constructive feedback to help team members develop their skills.
Assist with managing inventory and ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is stocked and ready for service, while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
Monitor food quality and presentation, making sure each dish meets Original Joe's standards before it's served to guests.
Troubleshoot kitchen issues and ensure timely communication between the front and back of house to maintain a seamless guest experience.
Contribute to menu planning and daily specials by sharing creative ideas with the Kitchen Manager and General Manager.
What You Bring to the Table
Culinary Leadership Experience
: 1-2+ years in a kitchen supervisory role or equivalent, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or bar environment.
Culinary Skills:
Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety standards, with a passion for creating delicious dishes.
Strong Communication Skills:
The ability to effectively communicate with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring smooth service during busy times.
Problem-Solving Skills:
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can quickly resolve issues to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
Team-Oriented Mindset:
You enjoy working collaboratively with your team and management to create an enjoyable work environment and outstanding guest experiences.
