"B" Pressure Welder

A division of Innovair Solutions, Hazloc Heaters is a global supplier and manufacturer of industrial and explosion-proof unit heaters, thermostats and disconnect switches for hazardous and severe-duty locations.

We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented B Pressure Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate(s) will have experience in metalworking, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in all activities as a member of the Welding and Fabrication division of the company.

Duties & Responsibilities

Welding

Reads and interprets blueprints or welding process specifications and work orders. Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) Welding of ABSA approved heat exchangers and piping connections. Knowledge of brazing and silver soldering is an asset. Cleans, QC's and checks component parts for any defects. Removes metal and/or prepares materials for welding by gouging and grinding. Ensures all welding equipment is clean and functional. Assists with the maintenance and repair of welding equipment. Mentors and coaches Apprentice Welders. Assist Engineering with technical support issues related to welding. Other related tasks and duties as required.

Requirements:

Education/Experience

:

Education:

Hold a valid Grade B Pressure Welder Certificate of Competency or An Interprovincial Red Seal Journey-person Welder Certificate. Spool fitting experience is an asset.

Experience:

10+ years of direct related work experience. Written and verbal English skills. Fabrication detail oriented

Work Environment

:

Workshop where there is a potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles and high noise. Have manual dexterity with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Wearing and using personal protective equipment is required when in the workshop. Follow various company policies and procedures including adherence to high Safety standards.

Compensation will include an hourly rate + year-end bonus (based on company profitability) and health benefits. Company matched RRSP Contributions.

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
