Job Type: Full Time - Project Based Schedule: 8+ Hours/day, Fab Shop: Monday-Friday, Project Shifts Vary, Schedule as per Operational Requirements, OT after 8hr/day or 40hr/week *This position is for the evening/night shift* Location: Fab Shop: 7331 – 18 Street NW, Edmonton, AB laydown yard for bulk of work, field work on occasion Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions
Requirements:

• Reliable welding truck and welding equipment
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
• Consumables supplied by Sureway, fuel supplied for out of town work

Pre-employment:

• Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based)
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
• Mask Fit Testing
• Job Test – 6G x NPS 6

B Pressure Rig Welder Responsibilities:

• Fabrication of pipe spools
• Read and interpret blue prints or welding process specifications.
• Follow directions given in layouts, drawings and work orders.
• Welding utilizing SMAW, GMAW and FCAW
• Ensures workmanship throughout the manufacturing process and on finished goods that meets or exceeds the cost, quality and schedule expectations.
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

B Pressure Rig Welder Qualifications:

• Current B Pressure tickets
• Must have experience in pipe spool welding including position welding/uphand/downhand/roll welding
• Certification for welding machine
• This position is often required to work overtime.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• CSTS-09 and WHMIS-2015 are required.
