Job Description

Green PI Inc is presently looking to provide an

Azure Cloud Services Manager

for our client. The Manager will support client resources in managing and optimizing Microsoft Azure Cloud services. The manager will provide technical expertise to maintain and enhance the Azure environment. They will deploy and configure native Azure management tools to improve performance, security and compliance. They will also implement customized alerts and monitoring based on the client's requirements to ensure proactive issue resolution.

This is a contract opportunity from May 1, 2025 - April 30, 2026.

Job Responsibilities:



o The successful candidate will provide Proactive Services including, but not limited to the following:

Workload monitoring:

A complete set of tools to monitor The client's system is setup in Azure environment. The toolset allows monitoring the availability of various Platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) up to monitoring individual services within the virtual machines deployed in cloud environment. Any service that is deployed within the Azure environment (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) will be monitored by the successful candidate;

System patching:

The successful candidate is responsible for patching some virtual machines (VMs) and other PaaS services. The successful candidate will ensure that every workload and patching is always up to date and adhering to the client's standards;

Backup management:

Management of backups is critical to successful IT operation. The successful candidate will manage, monitor, and remediate Azure Backup service. Once the infrastructure is up and running in Azure, the successful candidate will set the backup strategies of the various services according to the client's standards;

OS troubleshooting:

The successful candidate will provide level three backup. Any virtual machine hosted in Azure environment is covered for Operating System troubleshooting. The successful candidate will support both Windows and Linux for any operating system error.

Platform support

: The successful candidate will provide level three (platform) support to the client's information technology (IT) team. The successful candidate will provide full platform support for Azure. The successful candidate's specialized team will handle any failure or problem with the platform, leading to faster resolution times. The successful candidate's resource will monitor the status of the tickets throughout the lifecycle, work directly with Microsoft and provide updates regularly to the client.

Project Support:

The successful candidate may provide Platform support for Azure, as requested and directed by the client, on the following projects could include:

Continued Drupal migration, consisting of: Setup Azure DevOps tools and services; Drupal authentication using single sign-on (SSO); Services and other category sites;
i. Add and/or remove resources, services, and configurations as recommended by the client;

ii. Recommend and assist the client in implementing bast practices for role-based access control (RBAC);

iii. Conduct workshops and training for new cloud technologies; and

iv. Recommend and assist the client in implementing organizational policies and procedures, including, but not limited to tags, RBAC, resources, etc.

Support cloud migration of web framework:
i. Payment gateway systems; and

ii. Document management system.

Service bus; SMS integration; I-Approve; and Digital wallet.
The successful candidate will follow necessary approval mechanisms, as required by the client, including but not limited to providing sufficient documentation and rationale to the Architectural Review Board, ITSS Security, and/or the Azure Steering Committee for authoritative approval before enacting changes.

Support Services:



Service Request Process: The successful candidate will support various ways to open service requests. There will be four points of contact that are managed centrally.
i. The successful candidate will setup access and accounts for IT stakeholders for logging tickets in the successful candidate's ticketing portal with all relevant information;

ii. Through the dedicated Teams channel hosted by the client;

iii. The successful candidate will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days of week via a direct toll-free phone number; and

iv. The client can also open requests via email.

Important Information to Provide: When opening a case, the client will ensure to provide the successful candidate following information:
i. Name of the affected resource;

ii. Name and ID of the subscription that contains the resource;

iii. Exact problem or issue;

iv. Steps to reproduce the problem; and

v. A point of contact to troubleshoot the issue.

Once the client has made a request for support to the successful candidate's system, the following process will take place to ensure the issue is resolved as soon as possible:
i. A ticket is opened to track all the information about the issue;

ii. A member of the successful candidate's team then validates the ticket and ensure there is enough information to proceed;

iii. A successful candidate's team member is assigned to the issue and is going to be responsible of the case throughout its life; and

iv. When required, the successful candidate's team member in charge of the ticket is going to escalate to senior resources. Even in those cases, the successful candidate's team member is still in charge of the ticket throughout the tickets' life.

The potential candidate must possess the following:



A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in managing and maintaining Microsoft Azure cloud environments in an enterprise setting; Extensive knowledge of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Pipelines, Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, Azure Active Directory, and Azure DevOps Services; Strong experience in configuring and managing cloud-based security and compliance tools, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices; Proficiency in deploying and managing monitoring and alerting frameworks using native Azure tools and third-party integrations; Experience with migrating enterprise-scale web applications, content management systems, and backend infrastructure to the Azure cloud; Knowledge of workflow automation and digital approval processes; Familiarity with SMS-based communication services and integration into cloud environments; and Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are considered mandatory.
Experience in working within government or highly regulated environments is considered to be an asset.
