Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight and equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role offers an opportunity to work with heavy equipment and contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics and transportation services. Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and equipment to designated locations. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety standards are met and perform basic maintenance or repairs as needed. Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle records, and documentation related to freight shipments. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit. Assist with warehouse duties when not on the road, including loading/unloading freight and organizing inventory.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated. Experience in commercial driving or floating machines preferred. Hydro vac experience considered an asset. Knowledge of forklift operation, heavy equipment operation, or automotive repair is a plus. Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols. Good communication skills for effective coordination with supervisors and clients. Pay: $26.00-$40.00 per hour
