Job Description
We are looking for an experienced A/Z Truck Driver to operate a truck and pup locally hauling mine ore in a safe and timely manner. This Job is for the Joel Vachon Trucking Division.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport raw materials to and from processing facilities Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety Perform basic preventative maintenance as needed Plan routes and maintain delivery schedules Keep accurate logbooks (digital or paper) for hours, mileage, rest periods, fuel, and repairs Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and government regulations Load and unload vehicles as required Verify delivery instructions and complete necessary paperwork Promptly report any vehicle issues, accidents, or violations
Qualifications:
Valid AZ driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience Experience using GPS systems, AVL units, and CB radios Strong knowledge of Ontario driving regulations Ability to handle long-distance driving and variable conditions Clean driving record Adaptable and proactive when facing road or weather challenges References required upon request
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
