Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and excellent customer service. The Truck Driver will operate various types of vehicles, including heavy equipment, and may also assist with loading and unloading freight.

Duties

Safely operate trucks to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules. Follow all traffic laws and regulations during transit to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to maintain vehicle functionality.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record is preferred. Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus. Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols. Ability to perform minor automotive repairs is advantageous. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week

Work Location: On the road
