Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage freight effectively. The Truck Driver will also be expected to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, routes, and any issues encountered on the road. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability. Operate forklifts and heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with freight handling procedures and logistics operations. Experience in automotive repair is a plus, enabling effective troubleshooting of vehicle issues. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is beneficial for loading and unloading tasks. Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.

Pay: $18.38-$31.00 per hour
