Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. This will be a sub-contractor position and not employee, therefore, you must have an HST number.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of freight operations, commercial driving, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.

Duties

Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts and other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues on the road. Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in freight transportation and logistics is preferred. Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is a plus. Basic knowledge of automotive repair to handle minor maintenance tasks. Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
