POSITION TITLE:

AZ Truck Driver

REPORTS TO: Fleet Supervisor

BASIC FUNCTION: Delivering loads from Kingston, ON and Smiths Falls, ON to customers located in Ontario and Quebec. Applicants must have a positive disposition and the ability to communicate well with co-workers, management, and customers.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time

HOURS PER WEEK: Hours vary depending on season

SALARY: Varies depending on experience ($24-$28 hourly)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Inspects vehicle and trailer to ensure equipment is in proper operating condition. Secures and inspects load to ensure materials are properly secured. Operates truck/trailer combination to deliver material to various customers and locations in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Maintains appropriate driving records, logs and shipping documents. Performs duties consistent with all applicable safety, MTO, and company rules, regulations and policies. Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Must provide a clean three-year driver's abstract. Drivers should have five years of applicable experience, driving with a trailer. Must be in possession of a current and valid AZ license. Must be at least 25 years of age. Wide load experience is an asset. Experience operating a crane truck is an asset. Demonstrated ability to determine if a vehicle is properly loaded, to block, brace and tie down loads, and to manually load/unload. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking. Demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow written and oral work instructions. Demonstrated ability to climb onto load, to work in a wide range of weather conditions, to lift 100 pounds, and be on duty for up to fourteen hours in a day.

Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
