Overview

Join our team as a Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics network. In this role, you will operate our company truck to transport freight efficiently and safely from our Brockville based terminal to our customer in the U.S. We also offer backhauls from the U.S back to Kingston, On. Allowing you to return home everyday. Your expertise in commercial driving, combined with your passion for delivering exceptional service, will ensure timely deliveries and satisfied customers. While hauling our 4 axle flatbed loads, your skills will keep our operations running smoothly and on schedule. Anderson Transportation Services Inc. owns and operates several transport companies from Montreal to Gormley, On as well as Winnipeg and we have a wide range of equipment and loads to offer. Duties

Safely operate tractor-trailers and flatbeds. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Navigate routes effectively to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards. Secure freight properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit, especially when handling heavy specialized loads. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses, route changes, or any issues encountered during trips. Adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Valid Passport. Proven experience in truck driving. Proficiency in operating both automatic and manual transmission vehicles. Experience with flatbeds. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving. Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes for timely deliveries. Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform manual tasks related load securement. Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers effectively.
