Duties will include:

Running between Kingston and Toronto/Montreal hauling mainly containers/B-trains

Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.

Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules

Documenting work history movements and deliveries on electronic log.

Complying with MOT rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.

Maneuvering trucks into loading / unloading positions.

Collecting and verifying delivery instructions.

Requirements for position:

Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Monday to Friday (weekend availability if wanted but not required)

Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations

Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)

Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.

Must have valid AZ license and 2 years verifiable driving experience on the highway.

Must provide current CVOR and Abstract

Intermodal experience an asset but not required.

Rates of Pay:

Domestic Mileage Rate $0.55

Hourly Rate (Domicile Toronto) $26.00

*All hours and mileage will be managed by GPS

*Breakdowns will be paid hourly from the time they occur

*Mileage rate includes pre/post trips and fueling

*Hourly rate begins after 30 mins of driver arriving at customer

*Benefits available after 3 months

*Referral bonus after 3 months $500
