Job Summary

Greg Blonde & Sons LTD is seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting tomatoes from fields to processing plants safely while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the vehicle.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Coupling and un-coupling of loaded and empty trailers, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Adhere to all regulations regarding transportation and safety. Perform basic automotive repairs as necessary to ensure the vehicle remains in good working condition.

Qualifications

Valid AZ Driver's License. Three years verifiable driving experience with clean driver's abstract. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and best practices for transporting goods safely. Basic knowledge of automotive repair is preferred to address minor vehicle issues on the road. Strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this role.
This is a full-time seasonal position beginning Mid-August and ending Early/Mid October.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 70 - 80 per week
