R.W. Tomlinson is currently seeking a licensed

AZ Float Driver

. In this role you will be required to operate a Float Truck in a safe manner. This includes the loading and unloading of PVC and Concrete pipe, when required large equipment such as loaders, shovels, dozers, rock trucks and paving equipment. This position will be located on

3150 Rideau Road.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate and drive primarily Tractor Trailer combonations to transport equipment local routes Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, and loading and unloading of cargo Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting goods Record cargo information, distance travelled and fuel consumption Administer bills of lading, maintain electronically log books Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices and on-board computers May perform emergency roadside repairs Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner in order to minimize the risk of injury and property damage

REQUIREMENTS:

Valid AZ Driver's License 3 years' driving experience Ability to drive different types of equipment Good knowledge of permits, load security & dimension of loads Good with paperwork Ability to work flexible hours including weekends when required Experience with float trucks considered an asset
