Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled A-Z Flatbed Float Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting industrial machinery & other goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and ELOGs. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including forklifts.

Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicle with flat bed trailer to transport freight to designated locations within Ontario. Ability to travel through out Ontario and be out of town over night or multiple days Load and unload Machinery and goods using forklifts and other equipment as necessary, secure to flatbed as per MTO required standard practices. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Skills or knowledge to assist in the basic mechanic maintenance of the truck and flat deck to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with the owner/dispatcher and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws while on the road.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license A-Z Ontario license with at the very minimum 2-3 years experience.

Fluent reading, writing and speaking in

English is mandatory

- French is a bonus Experience with operating loaders, forklifts, other machinery Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with dispatcher and clients. Previous experience in moving or freight transportation is mandatory. Must possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
